Lawrence Low has over 25 years experience in leading Asia business units of global companies in the electronics and semiconductors industries.
Since 2018 he has focused on the growing opportunities in the Circular Economy. This includes leading the Asia business of a global e-waste recycler, setting up operations for e-waste and lithium-ion batteries recycling in Thailand and Singapore respectively.
More recently, he has been engaged in advisory roles for global European companies in the Singapore Government's legislation and implementation of Extended Producers Responsibilities (EPR) schemes for waste streams such as WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment), Batteries and Packaging (plastics, collection and recycling of PET bottles for beverages).
With the increasing urgency in Sustainability driven by climate change, governments and companies are racing to roll out their strategies to meet ESG targets. Lawrence believes that there will be increasingly more opportunities for entrepreneurs with unique circular economy related value proposition.
Lawrence holds a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. He recently completed an intensive 7-week program on Sustainability and Circular Economy Strategies at the University of Cambridge where he learned critical lessons on implementing Sustainability strategies from industry leaders.
