Raghu's 38 years of work includes long, sustained, resilient struggles as Social Entrepreneur for over 15 years and leadership/CXO positions in leading, global organization in the space of automobiles, pharmaceuticals, electronics component, IT/ITeS and Telecom. Returning from US in 2001; his first social impact venture was on rural wireless telecom rooted in Uttarakhand. Prior to that, he was the Managing Partner and Head of North America operations of Polaris Financial Technology. Raghu is an alumnus of IIT-Roorkee and Indian Statistical Institute, Calcutta

Raghu devotes significant time to community building, enabling better livelihood for differently abled people, off-road, off-network , off-electricity communities in remote areas of Himalayas and children with special needs through his association with several voluntary organizations, including UWC. He is also the Managing Trustee of a privately funded charity operating in UP, the SVT Foundation; focused on vocational skills for rural youth. In all, Raghu has facilitated grants over INR 37 Crores (US$5 Million) to 300 NGOs, transforming the lives of over 150000 youths across India.

Since 2014, in association with a Japanese organization; Raghu has mentored over 30 young, smart, upwardly mobile executives from mega Japanese Corporations under the International Corporate Volunteer (ICV) program; sensitizing these bright, future corporate leaders of Japan about the social challenges in India, thus enabling positive perspective about India's energy challenges at the bottom of the pyramid, besides directly contributing to the strong relationship between India & Japan. Further, he has coached over 20 entrepreneurs in India, US, and West Africa.
